CITY REPRESENTATIVES & ELECTED OFFICIALS
- District 4 Councilmember Jason Dozier’s Office. DeMicha Luster – Director of Community Engagement. Office: 404-290-2174 Email: DLuster@atlantaga.gov. To reach Councilmember Dozier: 678-330-6047
- ATL DOT was out at the I-20 intersection today, repairing the signals today. DPW was also out doing pickup doing delittering under the bridge and near the exit. They are still working on getting GDOT to get more involved. Also working with Intown Cares and Partners for Home to address the needs of the folks there – they are visiting weekly.
- Question regarding new placement of temp APD Precinct either in old GA PWR building or Dollar Tree.
PRESENTATIONS
- Marcus Harvey – John Hargrove
- The event has been going on for the past 15 years. These past 5 years, the program has been at the Shrine of the Black Madonna. Per Mr. Hargrove, it is in a spirit similar to that of events like Malcolm X Day and Juneteenth.
PRESIDENT’S REPORT 7:20 PM
- Last month we had our Community Picnic.
- Next month will be on National Night Out – August 5th. Board is recommending that we move WEND GB meeting time to 5:30 and that we be as efficient as possible
- TOH – 230 folks welcomed to the neighborhood. A final financial report next month.
- 16th Annual Candlelight Concert under the stars, feat.Kindred the Family Soul. Event is on Sept 27th.

- Still working with DWM for improvements to West End Park. Anyone who’s interested in helping draft the plans, they’d love to have you.

(Meets the last Monday of the month at 7:00pm. If you’d like to join, email WENDZLUCE@gmail.com)- Committee Chair spoke with Mr. Hargrove, and he moves that the General Body supports Garvey Day 2025. Setup will start at 6AM and be done around 8PM.
- Motion to approve Garvey Day from the floor. Mr. Frazer motioning as GB member to support the Marcus Garvey Festival. Motion seconded by Dave Mardis.

WRAP-UP & ANNOUNCEMENTS
- The city will be taking comments through on Atlanta 2.0
- NPU-T meets July 9th. The meeting is hybrid. 929 Lee St. Ste A220 on 2nd floor.
- BRP/Prusik applied for the demo permit last week. They’ll be putting a fence around their mall. It’ll take 3months to remove asbestos. They’re in the process of signing two leases, one of which is a grocer who has not been announced yet. They will come in September to give a detailed presentation.
- Paid parking at Lee+White will start on September 1st. After 2 hours, you’ll pay $5 for 5 hours.
