2026 Civic Responsibility for Young Leaders

📢 Applications are now open for 2026 Civic Responsibility for Young Leaders (CRFYL)!
✨ Offered by the City of Atlanta’s Department of City Planning through NPU University, this one-week immersive program is designed for rising high school juniors and seniors in Atlanta Public Schools who are ready to lead.
Students will:
🏛️ Shadow City leaders
⚖️ Explore the legislative process
🧠 Develop real solutions to community challenges
🎤 Participate in a mock council meeting Participants earn 35 community service hours and a stipend — while building lifelong civic leadership skills.
📅 Monday, June 8 – Friday, June 12, 2026
🕘 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

🌞 Camp Best Friends Summer Camp 2026

🌞 Camp Best Friends 2026 registration opens February 2nd.
Camp Best Friends is Atlanta’s long-running summer program, celebrating 45 years of serving youth across the city.
📅 June 8 – July 24, 2026
🕖 Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Campers can expect:

  • Indoor & outdoor recreation
  • Swimming
  • Golf
  • Field trips
  • Structured enrichment activities

Financial hardship assistance and multi-child discounts are available to ensure accessibility for families.
