Rain Barrel and Composting Classes with Atlanta Dept. of Watershed Mgmt.

In case you haven’t heard, Georgia is in the middle of a serious drought. If your house has gutters, this is a great time to install a rain barrel. The Atlanta Department of Watershed Management is here to help to do it!

EVENT: Trees Atlanta in the West End

Please join Trees Atlanta for Tree Maintenance in West End!

Trees Atlanta is hosting a volunteer project in West End on Saturday, May 2nd from 9 am – 12 pm.

We will be mulching & weeding trees planted in the past two seasons, which include trees at Herman J Russell, in Rose Circle Park, and along Lucile, Holderness, and Oak Streets.
Mulching young trees is important to their long-term health, and in order to care for the number of trees in your neighborhood, we’ve requested a mulch pile to be dropped at Rose Circle park in a place near mature trees and not impeding the sidewalk. If you have use for any mulch elsewhere in the park after the project, please feel free to pull from the pile!
We will also have volunteers pruning trees in the neighborhood, with priority decided based on their species and age.
*We would love to see y’all at the project if you’re able!

The link to sign up is HERE.

Please spread the word to any neighbors, family or friends who may be interested!
