MINUTES WEST END NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT, INC.GENERAL MEETING

January 8, 2007

The W.E.N.D., Inc. General Meeting was held Tuesday, January 8th, in the Community Room of the West End Public Library.  Rick Rivers, President, called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m.  

ROLL CALL 

Attendees signed the attendance roster.  Those present at the start of the meeting introduced themselves to the collective body. 

Board Members present:

Rick Rivers – President

Carl Ness -  1st Vice-President

John Pavlin – 2nd Vice-President

Vonda Henry – Secretary

 

Minute approve from November. No treasurer’s report

License Review Board Applicant 

Paul Singh for Hajira Ahmed – 404. 593.4505 923 Lee Street, Change of ownership

Mr. Singh was:

-       requested to have trash bins lock

-       Trash pickup at least one a day

-       Vagrancy should not be allowed

Motion Recommendation to approve change of ownership 11 approved, 1 opposed

 

Kanwar Tucker – 404 680-7372535 Lee Street, Change of ownership.

Motion Request Mr. Tucker to come up with a plan to improved the site.  Once that plan was development Rick Rivers would then send NPU-T approval of the Change of ownership.

 

Motion 9 Approved,  2 abstain

 

Sewer System Evaluation Survey (SSES)

Public Information Officer for Southeast Pipe,

The sanitation department has designation 3.5 billion dollars to evaluate the sewer system. The work will start at Cascade, Beecher, Donnelly and White.  Smoke testing will be done.  Residents will receive a phone message and a door hanger to notify them that work is being done in the area.

 

The process will 1 to 2 weeks. 

The sanitation department will request easement right if work needs to be done on resident’s property.

 

Belt line Sub committee will meet 1/23 at Kroger’s City Center 7:00pm-8:00pm

Beltline meeting 1/29 6:30pm-8:00pm

 

Meeting dispersed due to criminal activity in parking lot.

Motion: WEND to give $20.00 each to each person that had their cars vandalized
