The West End Tour of Homes and May Day Celebration will take place Saturday and Sunday, May 3 and 4, 2008. This year will be a momentous year for us as we revive our tradition of the Tour of Homes. The first West End Festival and Tour of Homes was held in 1973. This year The 2008 Tour of Homes in Historic West End will highlight beautiful Victorian Homes, Craftsman Bungalows and Lofts. The tour will kick off with a fund raising event at the Wren’s Nest, Friday night, May 2, 2008.
In addition to the Tour of Homes we will celebrate May Day. May Day was traditionally celebrated at the Wren’s Nest from 1909 to 1983. We are reviving the May Day tradition making it into a modern event bringing May Day into the 21st century.
This year we will also have a Housing Fair on Saturday May 3rd. Hopefully this fair will help to educate people about buying houses and acquiring mortgages.
 West End also has the honor of having the first Path that is connected to the Beltline which we will be showcasing at the Tour.
The West End Tour of Homes is sponsored by West End Neighborhood Development-(WEND) our nonprofit neighborhood association which was founded in 1973. The proceeds from the tour will be used for neighborhood beautification.
