WEST END NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT, INC.

GENERAL MEETING

August 2, 2008  

The W.E.N.D., Inc. General Meeting was held Tuesday, August 2nd, in the Community Room of the West End Public Library.  Carl Nes, President, called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m.  

ROLL CALL   Attendees signed the attendance roster.  Those present at the start of the meeting introduced themselves to the collective body.

Tour of homes, Vonda Henry

Beautification, Vonda Henry, Chair

Yard of the month – Steve Bartow came up with the idea to start a yard of the month program.  Four houses would be chosen each month.  The beautification committee would make the decision.  Guidelines will be needed. Steve would like to start in October. 

Public Safety, John Pavlin, Chair

Save number 7 update - the coalition is looking for a grant to fund the re-opening and any legal action needed.  The mayor had told NPU-T, during a meeting that she would not close station.

Joseph Michael reminded everyone to check their solid waste invoice; His was higher because they had his house as a duplex.

Kwabena Nkoromo reminded everyone that NPU-T will be voting for by-laws next Wednesday.
