The ART Block
An all day summer arts camp for middle school students (6th, 7th & 8th grade). Participants will collectively write, act in, and build sets for their own play to be performed at the end of the program. Three arts organizations, Fly-By Theatre, Hammonds House Museum and The Wrens Nest are teaming up to give students instruction in visual arts, dance, theater and literary arts.

June 2 - 13
Pre-care: 8-9am
Camp: 9-3pm
After-care: 3-6pm
Class Fees: $225 for entire two weeks
Pre-care & After-care: $100 for entire two weeks.

When we were organizing Security Patrol, some people were saying “Kids in our neighborhood need more activities. If these teenagers had more organized activities they would not commit crimes”. Great institutions (Wren’s Nest, Hammonds House and Fly by Theatre) in our neighborhood created “Art Block Summer Camp” but parents with their kids are not interested in the program. Not even one kid signed up for Summer Camp.
Shall we call it West End Paradox?
