How it Works:

MyFarm is a decentralized urban farm. We grow vegetables in backyard gardens throughout the city. By increasing local food production we are creating a secure and sustainable food system. Using organic practices we strive to grow the best tasting most nutritious vegetables. We ask what vegetables you like and grow them just for you.

Have a backyard?

We install and maintain beautiful backyard vegetable gardens. An installation can be as small as 4'x4' or can completely transform your backyard into a food forest. Each week we maintain your garden and harvest the produce in its peak, leaving a basket of fresh veggies on your doorstep. As a member, you also share in the abundance produced by other backyard gardens, increasing the diversity in your basket.

Don't have a backyard?

We offer a CSA style box of fresh local vegetables each week. Your vegetables will be grown in a backyard garden near your home. We offer two sizes. Full Box - $35 per week – Good for two people or small family Half Box - $25 per week – Good for one person

Our Services include:

* Initial garden set up and weekly follow up to keep your space growing.
* Organic techniques to grow nutrient rich vegetables.
* CSA style delivery of a weekly box of very local edibles.
* Permaculture techniques implemented to beautify in a
sustainable way.
* Garden design consultations and networking with high quality suppliers.
* Local food feasts with chefs featuring foods from your backyard.

See that is really very interesting...I have long said that b/c of several issues (mainly bugs and allergies) I don't do much with my yard; but if anyone wants to plant a little garden bed and just needs a place I would be willing to share some yard. As long as I get a carrot or tomato or two out of it. We lived in Iowa I learned that this type of arrangement (especially when it involves animals) is called a "leased acreage" and actually quite common.
