WEST END ATLANTA

Vonda- thanks so much for your interest! We want to make sure we hit all areas of Atlanta, highlighting the public safety concerns we, as Atlanta residents, all feel.

We are having our next rally on Monday, Feb. 23rd, from 5-7pm at the intersection of MLK & Joseph E. Lowery. This month's rally will focus on the following areas, including the West End:

NPU-K
Bankhead
Hunter Hills
Mozley Park
Washington Park

NPU-L
English Avenue
Vine City

NPU-T
Ashview Heights
Atlanta University Center
Harris Chiles
West End
Westview

We are planning our rally schedule to insure that we rotate areas of Atlanta so this can be a truly all-encompassing effort. We would absolutely love to have a rally in the West End and appreciate your support! I hope to see you at the rally!

Hi Rob,

Sorry for the late response to your email but I did not know you responded until Ewelina showed me the email.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it to the rally but I have confirmed with John that he will be at the rally as long as I get him the time and the address. He will be representing WEND. He is my right hand man and will help you if you need anything.

But because I can not be at the rally does not mean I won't support it. I will do the following:

1) Send out an email to WEND database (over 400 email addresses) today and the night before the rally;
2) Send out a calling post (over 200 numbers).

I wanted WEND to sponsor some of posters however I don’t think will be able to get WEND’s board to approve the expenditure with such short notice (we don’t move fast). However, we should have left over posters from the "save number 7" rally. I will have John bring them if we can find them. What would you like the posters to say?

Please let me know if there is anything else WEND can do to help you. And remember we would love to host the next rally on the Westside. I know the perfect site for it.

Just in conjunction to that.....Yeah Rob im with A.W.P "All Women Protected" group i know you have been acquainted with Judy and Tameka..=) I saw the main photo of us at the rally on you're website....Thanks so much!!! And... without a question we will be at the rally..!! please let me know also if there is anything you may need from us..i can forward any requests to the ladies....We are super stoked!!!..and me myself living in the west end...im grateful that the rally will be in the west end!!!!....We will have our signs like always!!!....And im also a member of the neighborhood...as well my significant other ...john pavlin...who happens to be the vice president of the W.E.N.D...(an a strong supporter of ATAC him an I both were at the first rally an well be at this one)...so if you'd also like you can give me any requests and i'd be more than happy to forward them to john......=) SEE U THEN!!!!

Too much for Frankie! Are you kidding! I have pictures of him holding a sign at the save number 7 rally. He will be in his element. Take pictures for me! I am sad I wont be there.

Vonda, if you have some extra posters can I have two? My girls would love to paint a few "STOP CRIME" signs, if you fly out before we connect please ask John to drop them over- or leave on his porch, I can pick up on my runs. Thanks!

Thanks so much for the support everyone! It is great to see so much enthusiasm for change- we want to have as large a presence as possible and your efforts will go a long way to sending the message that we are fed up with crime in our neighborhoods and we're taking them back!

Vonda- sorry you can't make it but we very much appreciate any support you can provide. We may be able to provide a flier on our site that can be downloaded, printed and used to canvas the Westside. Any volunteers that would be willing to do that would be of much help and insure we get the word out. We very much want to reach out to residents that are not online.

And my AWP girls, you all did such a great job at the last rally I think a lot of the people driving by thought it was a rally for you! ; ) Seriously though, great job and we're glad you're coming out. Please just make sure though that you don't do such an amazing job you make us look insufficient...hahaha.
