WEST END ATLANTA

Cool! It may be too soon to welcome us, but we'd love to come. We visit the neighborhood whenever possible. We were just at West End Park yesterday for the festival.

Ok then, you are welcome to visit anytime.

John Pavlin has decided to take over as chair of the tour of homes for 2010. Apparently, he thinks a man can do the job better than a woman.

The only thing I have to say to that is, the 2010 tour of homes will be held in 2012.

But seriously, it is time to start thinking about our next tour of homes. We would like to have separate chairs for each event.

The events are:
Concert
Tour
festival. Yes we are going to try to have a festival next year with CVC. We are going to need to id grants and write them so please if you have any skills in that area, contact me.

This year the dates for the tour of homes is May 8th , 9th and 10th

May 8th will be the concert.

If anyone has any ideas for a band please speak up now.

We had our second tour of homes and festival meeting yesterday. We have really good ideas

like a porch nite and a dog parade.

We still need volunteers to head the following committee:

1) Finance committee - this person will send out invoices to sponsors, make sure the amount is collected and oversee expenses.

We need volunteers for all committees

1) Volunteer committee. These people on this committee will set up the concert, sit in homes during tour, collect money at booths, work the festival and parade. To be a part of this committee email Jeriynl@bellsouth.net


2) Entertainment committee These people will select the entertainment for concert and festival To be a part of this committee email rlthomp2002@yahoo.com

3) Sponsorship committee these people will call on business entities to donate money to tour email Vkhenry@bellsouth.net to be on this committee.

4) Grant writing. self explanatory.

I am absolutely sure I am missing a committee but tell me what you want to do and I will place you somewhere.

If you want to help in the planning process, you can do that as well or maybe you just want to suggest a company to solicit donations. Just let me know.
