Has anyone received a rebate or refund of property taxes or sewer fees paid last year? One of my neighbors called to ask me whether I had received such a check. He got one for several hundred dollars and didn't trust it enough to cash it, it being so odd to get money back from a taxing agency. I didn't receive such a rebate or refund. Did anyone else?

It does seem like there was a news article about this in the last few months. Didn't somebody sue the government because of overpayments made? Maybe this was a settlement based on that, if so. And if so, I want my share, too!!!
