According to the realtor, this house went for 'significantly over' the asking price...now what that means is left to be explained, but it did sell for more than $52k (that makes me feel better because it's a slightly smaller version of my house!)

Many of our good homes sell for much higher than the list price- I know, I get a bit worried when I see them still being listed so low. But that's the catch- they always go to "Best and Highest offer"

Most houses in West End are going for about 80k at the least. The only 25k selling are those in bad shape.

We have new neighbors across the street here on Grady Pl - Emily and Morgan bought 640 Grady Pl and are already fixing it up! They are a young couple and really great and we're excited to have them as neighbors. (Oh and FYI - they're very handy with metal and are going to make their own wrought iron fence - and we may contract them out to make one for our house as well! Emily's a welder and has already given us some advice. Now we can match Kelly to the left of us. )

Oh and they got their house for ridiculously cheap - hooray for homeowners triumphing over the investors that were apparently salivating over the house!
